Noia advocates to decision makers on issues important to members and, in recent weeks, has been advocating to the federal and provincial governments for support for our offshore industry as it deals with challenges of COVID-19 and a drastic decline in oil prices. Below are highlights of some of the activities undertaken on your behalf.

Noia Requests Response from Prime Minister on Urgent Requests for Help

Following a news conference of May 26, 2020, Noia wrote Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to request a response to pleas from the industry and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide assistance to help the offshore oil and gas industry recover from COVID-19 and remain globally competitive.

Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Oil & Gas Industry: Economic Impact Report

This 2018 report report evaluates the economic impact of Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil and gas industry now and projects the potential increase in economic impact in the province and across the country if the Advance 2030 production targets are achieved.
