Noia Remembers the Ocean Ranger

On February 15, 1982 the Ocean Ranger semi-submersible drill rig sank on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland and Labrador, claiming the lives of all 84 crew members.

“The sinking of the Ocean Ranger had a profound impact upon our province and offshore oil and gas industry. We remember the 84 people who lost their lives, as well as the family members and friends who lost loved ones that day.” — Charlene Johnson, Noia CEO

Gonzaga High School in St. John’s will host its annual Ocean Ranger Memorial Service on Friday, February 14 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Pius X Church on Smithville Crescent.  The service is open to the general public.
