Guyana Trade Mission 2017

Date: Monday, September 11, 2017
Location: Georgetown, Guyana

The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia), in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (TCII) is planning a trade mission to Guyana during the week of September 11-15, 2017. The mission will include pre-mission preparation, an information session, networking reception and business to business (B2B) meetings with companies in the market.

There are exciting new opportunities in Guyana’s emerging offshore oil & gas industry. Deepwater exploration by ExxonMobil, Hess and others has revealed billions of barrels of recoverable oil off the coast of Guyana in South America. The findings are so promising that production could begin as early as 2020. This is a frontier area for oil & gas exploration and development and may pose a substantial export opportunity for companies currently active the Newfoundland and Labrador supply and service sector.
