Noia Thanks Nalcor Energy President and CEO Ed Martin for his Leadership and Contribution to NL Offshore Industry

St. John’s, NL Raymond Collins, Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) Board of Directors, today thanked Ed Martin for his immense contributions to the province’s oil & gas industry through his role as President and CEO of Nalcor Energy. Mr. Martin’s legacy in Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil industry will bear fruit for generations to come.

Noia Congratulates College of the North Atlantic Flight 491 Scholarship and Bursary Award Winners

St. John’s, NL (April 6, 2016) - The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) offers congratulations to the College of the North Atlantic students who today were presented with awards through the Flight 491 Legacy Fund.

The Flight 491 Legacy Fund committee was established by industry partners, Noia, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and the St. John’s Oilfield Technical Society (OTS), to honour the memory of the people of Flight 491. The fund provides renewable scholarships and bursaries (equally) to students enrolled at the College of the North Atlantic and Memorial University, generally the Marine Institute of Memorial University in particular.

Noia Responds to Proposed Changes to Canada-NL Benefits Plan Guidelines

Noia Remembers Flight 491 Tragedy

St. John’s, NL - On March 12, 2009, Flight 491 crashed off the province’s shores while enroute to the SeaRose FPSO in the White Rose oil field and Hibernia platform in the Hibernia oilfield. Today, the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) remembers the victims of this tragic accident.

“March 12 will forever mark a terrible day in the province’s history,” said Raymond Collins, Chair of Noia’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of Noia’s membership and our Board of Directors, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives as a result of this tragedy seven years ago.”

The Outstanding Contribution Award recognizes exemplary individuals who have influenced the development of the local oil & gas industry and who have demonstrated qualities of vision, integrity and leadership through their work and lives. Noia Holds Annual General Meeting; Welcomes 2016 Board of Directors
