Noia Fall Seminar Drills Down on Future Opportunities

The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) hosted its annual Fall Seminar today at the St. John’s Convention Centre. Themed Drilling Down for Future Opportunities, the focus for this year was advancing the offshore industry through exploration drilling activities.

The morning kicked off with an industry overview by Jim Keating, Executive Vice President, Offshore Development and Corporate Services, Nalcor Energy.  An expert panel on Drilling: Future, Opportunities and Technology included discussions with Gregory Stacey, HSEQT Manager, KCA Deutag Canada; Jason Power, Country Manager, Noble Drilling; and Dan Haslam, Operations Manager, Transocean, and focused on precise innovation, automation in cyber drilling rigs and new offshore technologies.

Noia Questions Federal Parties on Offshore Oil & Gas Policies

(St. John’s, NL – October 8, 2019) With a federal general election scheduled for October 21, 2019, Noia has issued a letter to five national political parties seeking their position on the Newfoundland and Labrador offshore oil & gas industry.

In the context of Noia’s Imagine the Potential campaign and data released through its industry economic impact report, Noia believes it is imperative for the political parties to provide information on how they will ensure the industry is able to reach its potential and provide significant benefits to all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and Canadians.

Noia Remembers Flight 491

On the 10th anniversary of Flight 491, Noia remembers the victims of the tragic event. On March 12, 2009, Flight 491 was flying to the White Rose and the Hibernia fields when it crashed offshore.
