Mission to Explore Offshore Oil & Gas Opportunities in Guyana

St. John’s, NL (July 19, 2017) -- The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia), in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (TCII), is planning a trade mission to Guyana during the week of September 11-15, 2017.

“Guyana is a frontier area for oil & gas exploration and development and may pose a substantial export opportunity for companies currently active in the Newfoundland and Labrador supply and service sector,” said Andrew Bell, Chair of Noia’s Board of Directors. “This mission is an excellent example of how Noia strives to fulfill an important aspect of our mandate which is to facilitate members’ participation in the global oil & gas industry.”

Noia 2017 Oil & Gas Conference Wraps Up Today in St. John’s, NL

St. John’s, NL (June 22, 2017)  -- The 33rd  annual Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) Oil & Gas Conference concluded today with delegates hearing from Natural Resources Minister Siobhan Coady, Suncor Energy and Statoil Canada.

“Despite the lower-for-longer reality, the key sentiment of this year’s conference was optimism for the future of the industry,” said Robert Cadigan, Noia President and CEO. “Over the past three days, we have heard promising updates from the operator community, including further information on Husky’s West White Rose extension project, Suncor Energy’s drilling program with the Transocean Barents, ExxonMobil’s Hebron project, as well as Nexen’s and Navitas Petroleum’s long-term plans for the area.”

White Rose Extension Project Positive News for the NL Offshore Industry
